91 Pts Gary Vaynerchuk
$19.99 on Sale Vallee De Valeur 2006
"One of the big discoveries of the 2006 vintage, the Valle De Valeur is a stunning effort with all the 'guts' of a top flight forty dollar Bordeaux. Outrageous complexity and pretty floral components rule the day and a young, fresh grip on the finish is fascinating. Yet it is also loaded with all the ripe bright black fruit you would want in a serious effort." - Gary Vaynerchuk
"A lovely bouquet of rich berries and fresh fruit precedes a silky, full-bodied palate with a bevy of soft tannins and an engaging, memorable finish. This classic Bordeaux combines rich terroir with classic style and will go with a variety of foods." |

$12.98 on Sale Monteviejo Festivo 2004
"Monteviejo's entry level wine is Festivo, a 100% Malbec aged for 6 months in new French oak. The 2004 Festivo is dark crimson-colored with a fragrant nose of mineral, spice box, blueberry, and black cherry. Medium-bodied, it is plush on the palate with plenty of ripe, forward fruit, light tannin, and a sense of elegance. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 5 years. It is an outstanding value. Bodega Monteviejo, owned by Catherine Pere-Verge (also the proprietor of Pomerol's Le Gay), is located at the foothills of the Andes, next to Vista Flores, south of Mendoza. The globe-trotting Michel Rolland is in charge of winemaking."

$29.98 on Sale Verget Saint-veran Chataigniers 2006
"Bright yellow. Poached pear and apple on the nose, with an exotic licorice quality building in the glass. Stony citrus and pear flavors are youthfully wound up, revealing definition only with aeration. Turns sweeter and broader on the finish, with the licorice note echoing."
"Citrus and white fruit with mineral notes, nice finish. A nice clean white Burgundy, good value" (78 views) - Spendergast 91 Points - Cellar Tracker (Avg score as of 11/04/08) |

$22.98 on Sale Chateau Goubau La Source Cotes De Castillon. 2005
"Shows ripe forest fruits, with a hint of vanilla. Medium- to full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a long fruit and mineral finish. A bit rustic, but enjoyable. Rich and impressive. Best after 2010. 2,330 cases made. - JS"

$17.98 on Sale Vinedos Dos Victorias Elias Mora Toro 2006
"The 2006 Elias Mora was aged for 6 months in American oak and bottled without filtration. Deep crimson-colored, it has an attractive nose of cedar, spice box, mineral, and blackberry. Supple-textured, forward, and richly flavored, this lengthy wine can be enjoyed now and over the next 6-8 years."
"Bright ruby. Spicy cherry on the nose, with a deeper printer's ink quality. Youthfully taut red and dark fruit flavors are framed by solid tannins but deliver a sweet impression. Finishes with brisk, lingering cherry and anise. I really like the clarity here" - 90 Points - Josh Raynolds - International Wine Cellar |

$17.98 on Sale Pieve Del Vescovo Lucciaio 2003
"An energetic red, with berry, fresh herb and dark chocolate aroma.
Full-bodied, with round and velvety tannins. Lots going on. Merlot,
Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. Best after 2006."

$19.98 on Sale Fattoria Scopone Brunello Di Montalcino 2002
Medium-deep ruby. Very pretty, appealing nose of red cherry and flowers develops intriguing dried tomato, bay leaf and rosemary nuances with air. Luscious red cherry and mocha flavors are given focus by lively, bright acids. Though initially very suave, this shows mounting, youthfully astringent tannins on the long finish. Considering this winery's weaker initial efforts, my impression is that the wines of Scopone are getting better and better each year.

$29.99 on Sale Chateau Clos L'eglise Cotes De Castillon 2005
From Gerard Perse (Pavie, Monbousquet)"Full ruby-red. Ripe, complex nose melds cassis, kirsch, licorice, earth, mocha and truffle. Ripe, sexy and sweet, with lovely energy and a youthfully cool quality to the dark fruit and mineral flavors. Precise, powerful Cotes de Castillon wine, finishing with building tannins and considerable breadth."

$36.98 on Sale Finca Sandoval 2005
"The 2005 Finca Sandoval is 76% Syrah, 13% Mourvedre, and 11% Bobal fermented with native yeasts followed by malolactic fermentation in barrel with lees stirring, followed by aging from 11-13 months in French and American oak, a mix of new and seasoned 225 and 300-liter barrels. Purple-colored, the wine offers up an alluring nose of toasty oak, mineral, floral notes, blueberry, and blackberry. This leads to a full-bodied, ripe, layered wine with superb integration of oak, tannin, and acidity. There is enough structure to support 3-5 years of evolution in the cellar. This outstanding effort should be at its best between 2012 and 2025."
"Inky purple. Sharply focused raspberry and blackberry scents are complemented by fresh flowers, licorice and graphite. Crisp and poised, offering intense, finely focused red and dark fruit flavors, and impressively silky texture and fully absorbed tannins. Fresh and energetic on the long, spicy finish. I suspect that this extremely impressive, syrah-based wine will put on weight and gain sweetness with a couple years of aging." -93+ Points - Josh Raynolds - International Wine Cellar |

$14.98 on Sale Sottimano Bric Del Salto Dolcetto 2007
"The 2007 Dolcetto d'Alba Bric del Salto reveals balsamic overtones wrapped around a core of dark red fruits, spices and minerals. Made in a totally elegant and finessed style, it represents the essence of first-rate Dolcetto from Barbaresco. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010."

$44.98 on Sale Donnhoff Oberhauser Brucke Riesling Auslese 2006 375ML
"The 2006 Oberhauser Brucke Riesling Auslese smells of mint, black tea and raspberry distillate. The herbal, red berry, and honey concentration on the palate by no means precludes an uncanny sense of mineral presence. Salts and wet stone coat the palate even as citrus, berry, and resinous herbs penetrate with almost frightening intensity and focus. No concessions to cushions on the furniture for lolling about (or to easy early drinking) have been made. Lock this tightly-wound and -stitched super-essence of Brucke away for at least 15 years before revisiting and count on more than four decades of fascinating evolution. My guess is that this - even more than Donnhoff's other 2006 Auslesen - will always taste like a wine from some other vintage, at least when measured against its great Middle Mosel counterparts."
